Bella

A few months ago, a new canine joined our family. Her name is Bella, and she is a beagle treeing walker coonhound. Although she is a very active dog who is seldom still except when asleep, she is the perfect companion for our other dog, Khaleesi. Of course, Leesi would rather have a companion that wasn’t quite so active, but Bella is encouraging Leesi to run and play more. Leesi would rather have Missy back, but old age took Missy away.

Once Missy passed on, Leesi understandably became depressed and lonely, so we had a choice to make. We could either allow Leesi to mourn herself to death, or we could find her another companion. Missy was a wiener beagle, so we were determined to find another beagle or beagle mix as a companion for her. I found Bella at https://dog.rescueme.org/Kentucky. Bella had been taken to the vet by her owner who wanted to have her put down because he said she was aggressive. To the contrary, Bella is a wonderfully affectionate and loving dog. I thank God that Autumn, the lady we got her from, had the foresight to rescue Bella and find a forever home for her.

Does Leesi get along with her? Yes, she does. They aren’t as close yet as Missy and Leesi were, but they are quickly edging toward being so.

I often call her Bellabella, and my husband sometimes calls her Portabella. We began to wonder: just how many words are there with the name of our precious pup in them? So I searched to see what I could find.
