How much do you understand about in vitro fertilization?
Today, I read all of the articles on Tess Kossow’s blog. All of them. From the frustration of not being able to become pregnant to the decision to make a huge financial investment in IVF to the joy of giving birth to Ferris, all of the articles are eye-opening and informative.
Some women become pregnant at the drop of a hat, but for others, it is not so easy. And there are instances where IVF is the only option. IVF, in vitro fertilization, is a medical procedure whereby an egg is fertilized by sperm in a test tube or elsewhere outside the body.
Say hello to Ferris, a boy who was brought into this world through in vitro fertilization. Ferris explains to you with childlike understanding how his mom was able to become pregnant with him. When I first received this book and opened it, I noticed a crayon scribble, what I believe to be Ferris’ autograph, on the inside of the cover. That made me smile.
Pictures are one of the first things about a book that young children notice. The brighter and more colorful the pictures, the more a child will be drawn to the book. As you can see in the below video, this book is full of pictures that will capture your child’s attention.
If you’ve had a child through IVF, this book is a great way to teach your child about how they came into this world. If you’re wanting to learn about IVF, this book is also a great place to start.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. If you would like to purchase a copy of this book for yourself or as a gift for someone else, I’ve provided an Amazon link for you below.
