Lisa’s Writopia was created by me to be a utopia for readers and writers. What exactly can be found here?
Reading is a passion of mine so you will find plenty of book reviews, author interviews, and guest posts. One can never have too many books. I write reviews on most of the books I read so that I can share them with others. By interviewing authors, I get to ask them questions that I am dying to know the answers to. Many times, an author will write a guest post for me to publish along with the review of their book.
Words are fascinating, so are plenty of articles about them. I write articles on confusing words to help others (and me) learn the differences between words that are similar in spelling and/or meaning. There are also articles on contronyms, phrases, words that make noise, etc.
I write articles on whatever interests me at the moment. Many of these articles will give the reader ideas on things to research further. Articles on phobias and poisons as well as how people do crazy things to be considered beautiful are only a few of the things I have published.
Writing prompts are always needed by writers. Plenty of articles full of writing prompts and picture writing prompts can be found on my site.
Grammar and punctuation confuse many people. Articles to try and straighten out some of this confusion are available.
Those are just some of the types of articles you will find on Lisa’s Writopia. I also write a lot of in-depth book reviews that authors love. Not only do I talk about the book, but I also include four to five of my favorite sentences and definition to new words learned. Click on “Request a Book Review” to find out how to request a review for your book.
I am an editor as well as a writer, and my editing page is part of Lisa’s Writopia. Click on “Editing Services” to read reviews of my editing and to find out more about how to hire me as your editor.
So you know, I am not affiliated with any other site, such as Writopia Lab, that has writopia as part of it’s name. If you are looking for classes on creative writing, I suggest you check out Writopia Lab. They offer creative writing classes for young people. I will not be offering classes of any type.
