Andrua, princess of D’Land, hides her true identity in the beginning of the novel but is still a legal authority of her people.

From the first page, this book put me in mind of Robin Hood, but there is so much more to the story than stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Danger, love, friendship, bewitchment, and betrayal fill the pages of this book and keeps you on the edge of your seat while reading.

The descriptions of the villages and the scenery make you feel as though you are experiencing Italy and its beauty yourself. The details given about customs and ways of life allows you to see into the daily lives of those who live there. The food they eat is described in so much detail that you can almost taste it yourself. The last part of the book is filled with recipes from each of the chapters in the book so you can make these dishes and experience them yourself.
