The Bone Spirit – a Review

Imagine you’re a successful writer. Then you get something that all writers dread: writer’s block. But you’ll work through it, right? While dealing with writer’s block, something happens that makes you begin to drink more heavily and even consider suicide. The skeleton man appears.

James Conrad was a successful writer, at least he used to be. After his third novel, writer’s block appeared and refused to let go of him. It even caused the breakup of his marriage. His future looked bleak. And when he started to see the skeleton man, it appeared even more bleak.

Scared after finding himself with a knife in his hand about to kill himself, he calls Casey, his ex-wife. She is the only one he feels he can talk to. Not even she believes him about the skeleton man, but she still comes to his rescue. During an internet search, she discovers that there have been an awful lot of authors committing suicide lately. And one who didn’t succeed in killing himself kept mumbling about a skeleton man. Maybe James isn’t so crazy after all.

From this point on, things happen at an incredible rate of speed. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride, but my stomach didn’t drop, and I couldn’t feel the wind blowing through my hair.

Casey decides to help her ex out. They are going to stop this skeletal creature from tormenting any more writers. Neither of them has a clue about how dangerous what they are doing is. And the skeleton man isn’t going to allow them to just stop him.

About the Author, Chris Snider:
I’m a thirty-three-year-old writer and a Christian who has Asperger’s syndrome. My first book was very Christian-based though I write mostly in the horror genre. I am the author of six books on Amazon: Snowy Pines, The Preacher, The Book of Jacob, Artemis, The Bone Spirit, and Accents of Horror: Four Flavors of Death.

My favorite authors are Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Tami Hoag. My hobbies include reading and writing, but I’m also a fan of video games and the NFL. I’ve always been fond of RPG games and survival horror games. My favorite NFL team is the Baltimore Ravens and I try to never miss a game.
