The Angel Warriors: Earthbound – a Review

Have you ever wondered exactly what went on in heaven before Lucifer was cast out? What exactly did he do? Angel Warriors: Earthbound puts a story around those events. The series is fictional, but we will find out when we reach our eternal home just how close this author’s imagination took her to what really happened.

Section 1: Creation is the story of the Creation, man’s downfall in the Garden of Eden, and the angel who threw away his favor with God to bring it about.

An angel companion for the Archangel Michael is created: Mihdeal, who leans more toward compassion, mercy, and forgiveness than Michael does. His desire to give second chances to the enemy frustrates Michael and almost leads Mihdael into becoming part of the rebellion. It leads to him being demoted because he cannot be trusted completely.

This is also the story of Mihdael’s feelings for humans, his good intentions that didn’t always turn out as he planned, and his punishment for all his errors. It is a story of love and redemption.

Section II: Rebellion focuses on Lucifer, who sees himself as second to God, and his downfall. He was manipulative from the beginning and had ways of encouraging the other angels to participate in behavior unbecoming to them.

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: (Hebrews 2:6-7)

When God commands his angels, all of them, to serve his new creation, man, this infuriates Lucifer. Man should serve them! No way would he bow down to a human. Jealousy at how much God loves his new creation burns within him. He could see allowing mankind to rule over Eden, but in his opinion, they did not deserve to rule over the angels.

In Section III: Reparation, Mihdael is given a job, but he messes up and allows a dangerous demon—well, all demons are dangerous, but this one especially so—to escape. Most of his angelic abilities have been taken from him, so he must use wit and cunning to capture the dangerous demon he has allowed to escape. He must save mankind.
