An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk. If you have a passion for making money, this is the guide on how to do so. This manual tells you how to succeed as an entrepreneur.
You can make a success of yourself without going to college or business school. For example, Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy’s, was a high-school dropout. But it takes a lot of dedication and work.
The author has gone into some serious debt, which he always paid off, refusing to declare bankruptcy and take the easy way out. For this, I applaud him. And he does state that to become successful as an entrepreneur, you risk a lot. Two of my favorite sentences in the book: It’s not how you fail that determines how successful you are. It’s how you get back up from those failures and rebuild yourself.
These lessons could be applied to whatever career you choose: cleaning houses, running a lumber mill, writing, owning an eBay store. You might wonder why I mentioned a possible career of cleaning houses. One of my favorite books by Agatha Christie is 4:50 from Paddington. In this book, one of the main characters is Lucy Eyelesbarrow. She has made a career out of cleaning houses. She is so successful that she is very much in demand and has a waiting list of clients. She found something she was good at that not many others wanted to do. One would think that she had read The Artt of the Black Card.
This isn’t a large book or a long one; it measures five inches wide and seven inches long and has 140 pages. But it is very full of useful information. The author tells it like it is. He shares what the journey to success has been like for him and what those experiences have made him into.
I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. If you want to learn how to succeed in business, I highly recommend reading this book.
