Where No One Will See – a Review

Lucia Scafetti, the daughter of the notorious hitman Carlo Scafetti, is trying so hard to move out of the shadow of her infamous crime family. A Philly private eye, she runs her own business. To make her life complete, she has a dog, Rocco, a problem dog who just doesn’t get along with other people. But he does love Lucia. Her life is about to become very complicated though.

She is waiting for her father, Carlo, to be released from prison after a twenty-year stay for armed robbery. He is looking for a particular item that will lead him to the missing diamond and gold coins he stole from his last victim.

Some not-so-nice people are convinced that Lucia knows the location of the missing diamond and gold coins. They are so convinced that someone kidnaps her precious dog and threatens his life if she doesn’t turn them over. Then someone breaks into her office to try and kill her, but this person is stopped by this problem dog who becomes a hero.

She is so sure there is a crooked cop involved in all of this. She is looking for someone nicknamed “The Loon.” Could it be the cop?

She has a big choice to make: which side of the law is she on? If she wears a wire for the Feds, her family will no longer have anything to do with her. But if she doesn’t, The Loon will get away. In the midst of all this, there are also some romantic issues she is dealing with? Could life get any more complicated?

Where No One Will See is an enjoyable mystery/thriller with a strong female lead character. This book is full of twists, turns, and deception.

Lucia Scafetti was not a good person.

He obeyed that order as well as he did all others—which is to say, not at all and she was nearly knocked down by the force of a thirty-pound bullet of muscle and fur.

Today her grief told a truth she couldn’t deny: throughout the years, her stubborn heart had remained connected to Carlo Scafetti by an invisible but enduring thread.

Fantasy, fantasy—it had never happened and the more rational part of her realized it never would.

About the Author:

Felicia Watson started writing stories as soon as they handed her a pencil in first grade. She’s especially drawn to character driven tales, where we see people we recognize, people who struggle with their mistakes and shortcomings, acknowledge them, and use that knowledge to grow into wiser human beings.

When not writing, Felicia spends her time chasing after her not-so-brilliant, but darling and beloved dogs, is chased by her truly brilliant, darling and beloved husband, is known to friends and family as an amateur pastry chef, and still finds time for swimming and her day job as a scientist.
