How To Be Really Street Smart – a Review

How To Be Really Street SmartWhen one is street smart, one has the experience and knowledge necessary to deal with the potential difficulties or dangers of life. That is great, but how does one gain this knowledge to prepare for any situation it is possible to encounter on the road of life?

And what if you lose your way? The Bible – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth – is God’s instruction manual for our lives, and its verses will direct you on this road of life.  If you study the Word of God as carefully as you should have studied your driving manual before you got your license, it will make it easier for you to see the street signs for our daily living in this world. The words of truth found in the Bible will help you out when you are confused about which way to go or what to do.

In How To Be Really Street Smart, the lives of Paul, Peter, Job, Joseph, John the Baptist, Elijah, Deborah, Ruth, the Woman at the Well, and Mary are used as examples. What signs did God give to each of them to point them in the right direction? Her easy-to-read style of writing isn’t hard to understand, and it gives insight into applying God’s Word to our lives today.

Words that might be new to the reader are in bold print. An “FYI” section in each chapter lets the reader know just what was going on at this time in history. “Did You Know” tells you just a bit more about the person being taught about, and “Word on the street” gives an appropriate Bible verse for the chapter.
