Dirt Road Main Street – a Review

What starts off as a fun and lighthearted romance soon turns into a suspenseful thriller when someone is shot by a stalker.

Five years ago after a concert in San Angelo, Texas, Tano, a member of the rock band Badge, offers Holly a lift home to the Oklahoma Panhandle. Over the next two days, they get to know each other very well. When they reach their destination of Sage, Oklahoma, they regretfully say goodbye on a dirt road main street. They don’t believe they’ll see each other again.

But now, five years later, Tano wonders what happened to Holly. Is she still there in Sage on that dirt road main street? Would she want to see him again? Would their relationship stand a chance? Tano sets off for Sage to see if he can find her again.

The moment they see each other, their feelings for each other once again come to life. But there are things standing in the way of their happy reunion. Holly’s brother is not at all happy about it and is hostile towards Tano. Also, Holly does have a boyfriend in Sage, but she isn’t too torn up about leaving him. A real danger for them though is the crazed psycho woman stalker who believes that Tano is hers, and she has a gun.

Tano struggles with himself over changing his lifestyle to stay with Holly, but he wants to spend his life with her. And Holly finds herself questioning if she can handle being a rock star’s girl. Can she trust him when the band is on tour and she isn’t with him?

When the book ends, Holly and Tano’s fairy-tale relationship is on the rocks. Their story is left wide open for a sequel, which will be out hopefully by late summer or fall of 2021.

A song, “Chevy Van” by Sammy Johns, is the reason Tano and Holly’s story was written. Music, ranging from country to rock to classical, follows these two through each step of their relationship and their reunion. Since Tano is in a rock band, that seems only natural. At the end of the book, the author has provided a list of these songs for you in the order they appear.

There she was standing there wearing a baggy sleeveless red top with multiple layers of ruffles on it, a silver concha belt that made her look as wide as a refrigerator, white short shorts, red high heels with that silly bulldog grin on her face.

From birth, she took on the appearance of a rubber baby doll, a troll doll to be precise, with a turned-up pug nose, chubby cheeks, tousled dark red hair, and short chunky legs.

Two Gray Hills rugs – Two Gray Hills rugs are best known for their exclusive use of only natural wool colors, the different browns and greys being produced in the carding of the wool. The artistically complicated designs and fine hand spinning of the wool practiced by most weavers of the Two Gray Hills area result in a finished rug of extremely fine quality.
