How many of you men out there dream of being pursued by lots of women? Is it your dream that just the mere sight of you makes them want you? Does your scent put you in danger of being attacked by them? What if there existed a pair of pants that could make these dreams come true?
When Jack’s father dies, he inherits the family business. The day his mom first suggests to him that he wear his grandfather’s pants, he is anything but thrilled. They had probably been a really nice pair of pants when they were new, but now they were old and so outdated. But to make his mom happy, he puts them on. He discovered that they were way more comfortable than he had thought they would be.
When he is wearing these pants, he finds that people treat him differently. Because of these pants and the family secret, he is put into situations that he never dreamed a pair of pants could put one in. The effect he now has on women really throws him. The only woman he has a desire for is the love of his life, Connie. But if what his mom and the rest of his dad’s “rotation” are telling him, that will change.
This is a different kind of love story, so different that it took me by surprise. Part of me found it hard to believe that the women in Jack’s love life, his “rotation,” were okay with sharing him and that Jack’s mom had been okay with sharing her husband with the other women in his “rotation.” I would not have been okay with that, but then again, this is fiction, and anything can happen in fiction.
When revenge and blackmail are thrown into the story, things get really interesting and make My Grandfather’s Pants a thoroughly enjoyable book.
