Confusing Words from Corespondents to Credulous

Is writing letters a form of corespondents, correspondence, or correspondents? Would you learn the definition of cosign or cosine in math class? Would a polite lady courtesy, curtesy, or curtsy? Do children like to play in the creak or the creek?

  1. Nice list of words that can be confusing!
I am glad that I knew all of them except one. I know of courtesy and curtsy but not curtesy!
Thanks for enlightening me- I am glad I learned something new today. Also I feel quite smart : )

    • I learn new words with almost each confusing words article I write. The word “curtesy” was a new one for me and so was “corespondence.” What really makes you feel smart is when you see one of the words you have learned used, and you realize that you actually know what it means! Of course, I’m not sure where I will see either of those words used. Since I read so much, maybe they will appear in one of the books.
